I’m Joni, the owner of Soulshine Blooms and I’m so happy you’re here!
Where does one start when asked to write about yourself? You’re reading this because in 2021 I listened to my heart, channeled my creative energy, and dove into being a small business owner to share positivity and love through flowers. I was born and raised in the Cleveland area, a BIG lover of life, a crafter, a nature-obsessed forager. Live music is what I get down to and travel keeps my spirit alive. I’m mildly (OK, completely) obsessed with Basset hounds and VW buses, hence my logo. And…of course – flowers. I LOVE flowers. I’ve been enamored by them since I was a young girl. From planting a garden with my grandma to planting seeds around our house with my mom, it seems like I have grown flowers my entire life. Truthfully, I just can’t get enough of them. Flowers make me smile and bring me so much joy.
When I bought my first house I got right to planting. Mostly perennials, because they come back every year, I surrounded the house with flowers. Over time, my beds became so full of life, it was amazing to see. My supportive family added more beds and the idea of Soulshine Blooms started to germinate. Why not share these beautiful flowers with the world, and why stop there? My vision is to make people smile and nourish the soul by harnessing nature’s beauty and, in addition to arrangements, creating crafts, ornaments, and other fun things.
